About Me

Linda Mug

My name is Linda ONeill, I live in The Sunshine State of Florida on the Gulf Coast where the weather is beautiful all year round. I moved here from Pennsylvania years ago and never looked back.

I studied photography  for 20 years which is my absolute passion.  To further enhance my skills I took an online course with New York Institute of Photography.  After completing that course I continued to a more advanced course with a Professor. I also attended local night school classes and later became President of a Photo Club in Pennsylvania.

I am a Volunteer at the Peace River Wildlife Center located in Ponce de Leon Park in Punta Gorda. Their mission is to take in injured animals and release them back into the wild after being rehabilitated.  All of the wildlife have some type of permanent injury too severe to release back into the wild so the Center gives them a forever home. Visitors have an opportunity to see these animals up close and learn about them.  As a Tour Guide and hospital assistant, I help to educate the public by sharing what information I know about the animals.

I also have the title of being one of the Center’s Photographers. My photos of the resident animals are put on various items sold in the Gift Store including post cards, greeting cards, calendars, and pictures. This helps generate revenue for the residents’ care and rehabilitation and  ultimate release.

I have been honored to win several photo contests during my career. My photos are also displayed in advertisements, published in books,  PowerPoint presentations and accompany newspaper articles.
